Every week, the instructor will teach new techniques by breaking down the movements, running drills with the entire class and then finally applying the movements into combinations and

mini-routines to properly instill them into your muscle memory.

Hip Hop & Breaking Team

Breaking, also known as B-Boying or B-Girling, is a high-energy street dance style that blends athleticism, creativity, and musicality. Originating from the Bronx in the 1970s, Breaking features dynamic footwork, explosive power moves, intricate freezes, and freestyle expression. At Truckee Dance Factory, we teach the foundations of Breaking while encouraging each dancer to develop their unique style and confidence. Whether you're looking to master the basics or take your skills to the next level, our Breaking classes offer a fun and supportive environment for all levels.

Ballerina

Ballet is a theatrical dance featuring highly formalized steps and movements. Often performed with music, elaborate costumes and stage scenery, the dance is used to tell stories, convey themes and express emotion. 

Contemporary Dance Company

Contemporary dance is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of many dance genres including modern, jazz, hip hop and ballet.

Layout dance move

Jazz dance is a high-energy, upbeat style covering a wide variety of movements. The class will incorporate traditional and modern jazz techniques such as turns, leaps, kicks, floorwork and more..

Acro

This program utilizes cutting edge technology to help train dancers quickly and safely. Acrobatics teaches flexibility, balance, strength, muscle control, discipline and concentration. 

hip hop team

The term "Hip Hop" covers a variety of styles including house, locking, popping, and waiving to name a few. Our hip hop classes utilize upbeat music from various genres with the music and movements always being age appropriate.
