TDF Student Showcase 2023 Early Information

The showcase is an exciting opportunity for our dancers, who have worked so hard throughout the year, to present what they have learned on the stage and have a well deserved moment in the spotlight!  A detailed “recital handbook” will be provided as we get closer to the show, giving you all the info you will need. If your family is unable to participate in any or all of your dance routines, you must notify us by filling out a “Showcase Opt-Out Form by February 28 to avoid associated fees (found on the TDF website).  Teachers will begin choreography in March or April. Non-participating students may continue and are encouraged to attend classes,  learning and perfecting a routine is still beneficial to their training. 

 

In order to give the stars of our show as much stage time as possible we will be holding 2 separate shows:

  • The Junior Showcase will include ProtoTykes and Level 1 classes

  • The Main Showcase will include Level 2-5 classes

 

Dates to Put on Your Calendar:

  • February 28: Last day to notify us if you are not participating in the show for all or some of your classes (opt-out form can be found below).

  • March 1: registration closes

  • March 15: Showcase Participation Fee will be charged ($30/student OR $50/family) and Costume Down Payment will be charged ($30 for each class).  

  • May 14: Online ticketing opens on our website (www.truckeedancefactory.com)

  • May 15: Costume balance remainder will be charged or credited

  • June 12-16: Extra all cast rehearsals for the show

  • June 16: On stage dress rehearsal at North Tahoe High School (Mandatory)

  • June 17: Performance Day at North Tahoe High School Theater

  • June 24: Last day of classes

Location: All shows will be at North Tahoe High School- 2945 Polaris Rd, Tahoe City, CA 96145

 

Rehearsals Dates and Information

We will hold several days of rehearsals leading up to the show at the studio on June 12-16. Dancer’s class schedules will change this week for the special rehearsals. There will also be a mandatory on-stage rehearsal at the theater on June 16. More info will be made available, including a specific rehearsal schedule for each class, as we get closer.  

 

***Participation in the On-Stage Rehearsals is MANDATORY in order to participate in the show. Dancers will be removed from routines if they are not present for dress rehearsal.
